Electromagnetic Environment Simulation
LOG.IN specialises in the development of multi-emitter scenario simulators with real-time electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) generation capability. The simulated scenarios can emulate complex electromagnetic environments containing virtually any type of signal, including communications, RADAR and Electronic Countermeasures (ECM). LOG.IN’s simulators can be used to build different kinds of Synthetic EW Ranges to conduct Verification & Validation (V&V) of modern EW assets and immersive EW training.
Computer Generated Forces Applications for Synthetic Scenarios Simulation
EXERCISE CGF is a Computer Generated Forces (CGF) software application developed by LOG.IN for simulating synthetic mission scenarios in the air, land and maritime domains. EXERCISE CGF allows the operator to define the configuration of the scenario entities, the equipment list (on- board systems, sensors, weapon systems) and their characteristics. Moreover, the operator can program the behaviour of the scenario entities to define their movements and actions. Scenarios can be set everywhere in the world using Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED), and the weather conditions of the gaming area can be programmed too. EXERCISE CGF can be connected to distributed simulation systems using the most common simulation architectures, such as HLA and DIS.
EO/IR Sensors Simulation
LOG.IN can offer COTS solutions to simulate images and real-time video produced by Electro-Optical (EO) and Infra-Red (IR) sensors. LOG.IN solutions enable characterising the IR response of materials and the environment according to the time of day, illumination conditions, platform dynamics and weather effects. Our sensor simulators are HLA compliant and can be used for immersive training and for the validation of image tracking algorithms.
Visual Databases & 3D Models
One of the most critical aspects of immersive training simulation is the ability to mislead the senses. In this case, the sight. LOG.IN develops custom visual databases and 3D models, including buildings, infrastructures and airports, to support high frame-rate image generation. The development is performed on custom data and specifications provided by the customer. Visual databases and 3D models meet the requirement of low-level flying, Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and IR visualisation mode.
